AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT) Collector v0.42.0 is now available. You can download the latest ADOT Collector image from the Amazon Elastic Container Registry (Amazon ECR) Public Gallery.




Release Highlights

  • Updated OpenTelemetry Collector dependencies to v1.21.0/v0.115.0
  • Updated OpenTelemetry Collector contrib dependencies to v0.115.0

Breaking Changes:

  • The memory_ballast extension was removed upstream and ADOT Collector in favor of the GOMEMLIMIT environment variable, See the Go documentation for more information about GOMEMLIMIT's usage.

  • The logging exporter has been removed upstream in favor of the debug exporter. This release removes the logging exporter. See #11337 to migrate to the debug exporter.
